Main Street Stockbridge at Christmas Counted Cross Stitch Kit
"I just love Stockbridge," said Norman Rockwell of the town that was his home for the last 25 years of his life. "I mean, Stockbridge is the best of America, the best of New England." It was here that Rockwell painted some of his best-known and best-loved pictures. Stockbridge residents served both as inspiration and as models for Rockwell. "There's almost nobody in town I haven't painted," he said. His portrait of the town itself, Main Street Stockbridge at Christmas, is for many the image of ideal small-town America.

Norman Rockwell's Spring Flowers Counted Cross Stitch Kit
Spring Flowers, Rockwell's only known still life painting, was inspired by his wife, Molly, and her love of gardening and flowers. Even though there are no human figures in the painting, it certainly includes a human presence. Through his rendering of the shoes, the gardening gloves, the beribboned hat, and the flowers and branches on the comfortable-looking old chair, Rockwell has produced a powerful portrait of a woman in touch with nature through the medium of her garden.
