Counted Cross Stitch Kits featuring the Civil Way artwork of Mort Künstler created under special license by The Posy Collection
Mort Künstler has been called America's artist, and with good reason. Few if any other artists in our nation's history have painted as many American historic events with such extraordinary attention to authenticity, drama, and detail. In the early 1970s, his paintings started coming to the attention of serious collectors. However, when he was commissioned in 1982 to do a painting for the CBS-TV miniseries, The Blue and the Gray, his interest turned toward the Civil War, and the world of historic art has not been the same since.
Several books featuring his Civil War paintings have been published, and thousands have enjoyed his one-man Civil War exhibitions. Künstler's work is now among the most collected in American history. For more information, visit his website at http://www.MortKunstler.com.
Recently, he reached a license agreement with The Posy Collection to interpret a selection of his Civil War paintings in cross stitch. The result is a series of counted cross stitch kits that bring the stories of his paintings alive in needlework. Click on any of the links below to examine these kits in detail. Ordering information is included with each link.
